Thinking about that NASA branded tank I saw at NASA Ames a few months ago

Why did/does NASA need a tank

@benjojo they've used modified APCs as emergency/rescue vehicles at various times. Cheap enough when getting ones taken out of service, designed with ABC protection in mind and strong/sturdy enough they'll take falling debris etc, they are the kind of thing to evacuate astronauts and other personell if shit goes wrong close to launch, or to deal with e.g. fuel fires in general.
