New blog post! Off the back of a NetUK talk I did, I've written up about the work I did for LONAP to help monitor latency/loss and detect problems on modern day internet exchange fabrics! https://blog.benjojo.co.uk/post/ixp-xping-better-ix-monitoring

@benjojo This tool is also very useful in "regular" settings. I have a few leased lines that are underlying LAG or ECMP with MPLS (for example, I used to have a leased line on a 4x10G LAG provided by AS25091), and finding loss was tricky. I've deployed this tool between all IPng hypervisors today, thanks for the excellent work, Ben!

@IPngNetworks Glad it can help, yeah if you dont have PBR then xping is the way to go, if you have PBR then Pingo is a lot more feature rich! Also... Public metrics when :) ?

@benjojo Ahahaha, the Linux ARP "liberal defaults" reminds me of a certain Asian company where we ran into ARP issues on the 2 interfaces all the time and had to tweak those sysctls
