@benjojo how much more expensive would have been to put an internal connector in, I can’t imagine those custom screw down usb cables were cheap

@secretbatcave @benjojo and needing an extra bus in the way, i'm assuming, instead of the connector merely being a bridge between the boards.

@benjojo I remember the roughly modem-sized HP "JetDirect" boxes with ethernet and Centronics towards the printer, to make it a network printer. Looks like here that's built-in (and times have changed, USB superseded parallel)
