@benjojo every company wants seats that are actually standing to reduce space required, there were a few companies mentioning them in passing at innotrans and i have heard about them from airline proposals.

@leeglidewell @benjojo I think the idea is that the top of one "chair" can be above the bottom of the next, so they fit together

@benjojo @artemist There even was a half-sitting seats in some of RyanAir's concept pictures. That would've made it possible to alternate seating heights so that every other seat row would be slightly higher than the other. Didn't sound or look that nice when you realized that when seated on the lower row, your head is on the same level as the butt of the person in front of you.

I do wonder why the footstand is not tilted a bit, so your feet can stay in a 90 degree angle with your legs.

@benjojo I actually quite like it, because during a flight you are usually seated for a long time (short flights should be train /bus/car rides)
Standing with support and a table and a view might be a nice extra option. Not the only option, of course, people who want to sit should have that option, too.

Maybe an exercise bike or other gym equipment would be a nice addition, too.

i distinctly remember having to stand to wait both times i flew out of RIX bc there weren't enough seats
