@benjojo i'm not surprised by the telephones in the toilet. in the 80s and 90s they were quite common, at least where i grew up outside the uk. (i've never seen them here, however. even electricity remains a novelty in british toilets.)

what's remarkable to me is the pegboard. weird canopy pegboard. in a toilet. how do you even clean it.

thats a master clock for a Telephone Exchange, and the Test Desk equipment plus alarm lights, its from a museum in Kent, SE England (you can visit it if you are in the area!)
