FS dot com becoming the thing they set to destroy, by now charging $440 for a single 100G-LR4 optic. Given that FlexOptix's 100G-LR4's are 420 EUR, you may as well go for the friendly Germans (rather than FS, if Flex lets you buy from them etc) Other CN vendors are available, "QSFPTEK" is charging $290 for a 100G-LR4 (plus some reasonably small import tax)

@benjojo That's been a few year since FS is not relevant anymore.
If you are a big buyer, FlexOptix is currently the best quality/price.
I have been using Nexgen optics lately. Great pricing when you can't get the FlexOptix discount. It seems the optical RX sensitivity is a bit lower though.

@ledeuns Yeah but Nexgen isnt really the same kind of market, because you cannot just show up and buy them on the website. The "just show up with a card" places I know are: Fibermall and Flexoptix if you are a business

@benjojo We use a UK supplier called Fibrenet that we've been pretty happy with, £320 for a 100G LR4 before discount https://www.fibrenet.co.uk/products/100gbase-lr4-qsfp28-transceiver-lc-10km-over-smf-dom-juniper-compatible

@benjojo I do think that the shopping experience on FS is refreshing compare to other places: clearly layed out table specs, and contextual examples for devices, I wish I could get the same experience buying other things
