Why does the pinball machine run android????

@benjojo oh that's nasty! A physical pin that uses Android to drive the display / sound etc.? That must surely also do things like GC pauses when it's meant to be reacting to a shot or something?

@mattbee The machine was responsive, but I the video screen or w/e at the top ( I don't know what the terminology is for pinball machines ) was clearly something Android-ish

@tema I totally now understand why the pinball nuts are now only seemingly interested in the older ones :P

This one even had QR code scanning support (For the pub's award system)

Maybe it's a conspiracy to kill off people who are hogging the machine for too long :P

@benjojo that's hilarious! I only knew of one older Williams pin that could crash (really just unexpectedly reboot) due to an unhandled broken switch compensation. I forget which game it was. Normally the game will detect a bad target switch and compensate by stacking its award on another working one nearby, but on this one someone forgot to specify the target for compensation and it caused the whole game to reboot!
