I was today years old when I first discovered that if you upgrade a supermicro BMC, at the end the machine hard powers off... Good thing this was my desktop that could have been a very embarrassing RFO in production

@benjojo I didn't know you could upgrade a BMC without booting into MS DOS 5.0 and running either FLASH1.BAT, FLASH2.BAT or FLASH3.BAT, depending on the current zodiac sign and moon phase.

Much like the solution to many other things in linux life, just create a legacy-zone to run all of the legacy crap like JavaWS/Python2/etc At last, we have virtual media etc...
