oooooh, 100G QSFP28 DWDM is now actually one-click purchasable (all be it on pre-order for a few months) on FS: https://www.fs.com/products/249327.html

Realistically it is at least 4 years too late from it's prime market, but it's amazing to see it actually exist eventually within the QSFP heat/power budget

@benjojo it was such a weird gap in the 100G market. Want reasonable DCI? Gotta go up to 400G-ZR for some reason.

@kwf I was told by one of the pluggable vendors that it was because getting everything into 5W or whatever it is was extremely hard until now. ZR+ could "cheat" by having the jumbo power ports

@benjojo @kwf I was told the same thing by a vendor. Power dissipation in the QSFP28 chassis was a tough problem.

@kwf @benjojo it's not much more for an actual 400G-ZR(+) module and the transponders to break it down to 4x100G are pretty cheap
