@benjojo The icons always represent the code name of the Android version. If this is Android 17 the codename is "Cinnamon Bun". So I guess the icon wants to represent as such.

@winni oh! that makes "some" sense for as much sense as google putting a cinnamon bun on the USB charging icon makes any sense

I have been informed that the icon is a abstract cinnamon bun, because I am now apparently running android cinnamon bun. I do not understand how even remotely normal (and non tech carding) people understand this

@benjojo It's supposed to be a cinnamon bun, but that's only clear if you squint and think of it as a cinnamon bun.

@benjojo maybe the designer thought of charging being the modern equivalent of a clock's or watch's mainspring being wound up?
(I had to look up this word https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainspring )
