@brown I'm not 100%, but it's probably a countermeasure to needle drug use, the idea (though it's iffy if this actually is that good of a countermeasure) is that it's a lot harder to locate a vein under that blue light

They realized that having everything running in us-east-1 was bad for resiliency so they finally deployed us-central-1 now.
