RE the linked toot/honk

I remember the betrayal I felt after spending so much time getting my work Windows 10 VM setup without a Microsoft account, and then the moment I installed Microsoft Office (the reason for the VM to exist) and linked the account for licencing, Windows took that and poof, suddenly account linked. Bah.
