@benjojo In Danish it's "Storbritannien” (literally translates to "Large Britain”), so it's the same as German.
It's kind of interesting how "great" has multiple meanings but it seems to be translated to meaning "large" in other languages as far as I can tell, and doesn't have to do with "greatness”.

@benjojo If one reads ß as B then one gets "Grob", meaning "coffin" in Russian.
My middle school German lessons were full of coffin jokes.
