I use bareos for managing our backups / library.

Both bareos and tape drives can be pretty involved and there's quite a bit of time investment required

@xssfox @me @benjojo beware: anything LTO-5 and newer has a significant price premium on even 2nd-hand drives, mainly because LTFS was introduced with LTO-5

@jpm @me @benjojo no one wants to touch fibre channel tape loader drives which is how we got our drive for so cheap - you have to take a risk that it will work in a normal setup though (and not have a dust flap)

@xssfox @me @benjojo yup, and the full-height drives usually run faster than the HH’s. Not that 8G FC HBAs are expensive on the 2nd hand market…
